Twisting / Cabling

Twisting & Cabling

TWISTING / CABLING
Cabling is the method by which a group of insulated conductors or cables are mechanically assembled or twisted together.
The strands are made up of several conductors.
All the conductors are stranded in the same direction around the central wire of the strand, so that the contacts between the wires and between the layers are linear: this thus avoids indentations which weaken the cables.

On the other hand, the wires of an upper layer are placed in the hollows existing between the wires of the lower layer, which allows maximum filling and keeping a minimum diameter.
